I grew up in rural County Down,Northern Ireland and hold a passion for the area and the landscape that is my spiritual home. It is this love of the rural landscape and all things farming that have inspired me to photograph scale models and agricultural machinery. Born in 1950 and raised under the shadow of Scrabo Tower the landscape is truly remarkable,rolling hills planted with barley and potatoes-amongst others sweeping down to the shores of Strangford Lough. Growing up in such an area of natural beauty and surrounded by agriculture,I was exposed to the lure of tractors and machinery and have fond memories of learning to drive on a Massey Ferguson 35 and moving on to my favourite the Massey 65. All my model photographs  are taken in available natural  lighting conditions and I only use photoshop to crop the and size the shots!
